Hello Dolls!!!
The 80's era is very colorful and fun. The faces were
heavily painted, a lot of emphasized were placed on the eyes, cheeks and lips
and a lot of colors were used. The blending was not a practice time of this
period. What you can see on the 80's is the color black eye shadow all up to
the eyebrows. This era is the time when a lot of colorful combination smoky eye
were born and became widely used. The 80's were such a contrast compare to the
70's which were focused more on delicate, glowing features, very natural boho
style look. Some women actually opted for a foundation that was a little bit
lighter than their natural skin tone. The reason being is because it allowed
all the colors that were using on the face to really pop out.
There is one think that you have to remember of the
80's is the accurate name OTT- Over The Top. "If your makeup doesn't look
half way clownish then you haven't accomplished the look yet".

The features of the 80's makeup look:
1. Face- the concealer was very much packed one and
the dewy skin (glowy) was very popular; very heavy emphasize was placed on the
cheeks; bright pinks, brown or even red blushes were popular; blush applied on
the hallows of the cheeks all the way to the temples instead of being on the
apples of the cheeks like we do today;
2. Eyes- the "smoky eye" was marked definitely, distinct and strong; the
eyeliner was very popular especially black or blue; the colorful mascaras were
use like: bright blues or teal.
3. Brows- the natural was the way to go or even bushy;
4. Lips- the frosty lipsticks were all the range and pink
was the most popular color as the lip gloss;
